Can I cut the wires from my battery terminal and connect them to a distribution block?

I have a 92 pathfinder. Installing audio. The hot wires that connect to the battery terminal are all combined on a multiconnector that connects to the battery terminal. Can I just cut those wires from their multiconnector and reinsert into a distribution block and be ok?

As long as they connect together it doesn't matter what you use. Distribution block or duct tape it doesn't matter.
