Oscilloscope Dso

what type of oscilloscope do i need to look in to?

i want to get into messing around with wiring and making stuff, nothing major, and i want to look into getting a oscilloscope like the ones we use in our physics lab.

i dont know what kind or features i need in it. what we use is a 2-channel that i think reads up to 8 volts i think and it uses a little tv screen(looks like old ones).

so what do i need to do my electronic projects i want to do? i also heard of pc or dso oscilloscopes and i dont know if they are made for general use like i want.

thanks

The PC based ones would be the cheapest ones to get.

for your purpose, just about any would do. Look for a response to DC and to 10 MHz at the high end. Sensitivity should be about 10 mV, and dual channels.
